Habits=continual often involuntary even unconscious performance of an activity that has been acquired through frequent repetition.
In other words something you have done over and over until it has become part of your character.
A part of who you are—it has become such a part of you that you don’t really have to think to go do it.It’s automatic.
Habits
Always strive to improve
HABITS...
Make the good ones
Break the bad ones.
Make spending time with God a habit.
Make thinking before you speak a habit.
Make focus of priorities a habit.
Make eating right a habit
Make exercise a habit
Make love for others a habit
Make forgiveness a habit
To form a new habit you have to do something that doesn’t fell good.
BUT SAY TO YOUR SELF—you are not going to give up.
The Holy Spirit will help us work and develop our new person from the inside out.
1 Corinthians 15:58 (AMP) 58 Therefore, my beloved brethren, be firm (steadfast), immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord [always being superior, excelling, doing more than enough in the service of the Lord], knowing and being continually aware that your labor in the Lord is not futile [it is never wasted or to no purpose].
ÞThe habits we establish in life are important
ÞIf God is going to live in our spirit then everything has got to get cleaned up (no worries keep your focus on God and He will help you with this part).
ÞIf Jesus is your Savior then you are Holy on the inside.
ÞYou can’t tell everyone you are a Christian and have nothing changed in you.
ÞWe are examples– there is nothing more powerful than a consistent witness.
ÞWE ARE SPIRITS—we should be more concerned about our inner life.
ÞEvery time we give into the flesh we have to go through our flesh crying out all over again.
ÞChoose to do what is right no matter how it feels and do it again and again and again.
ÞThe life we are supposed to live is different than the life the world lives.
Þ
We must remind ourselves that the character traits we want to eliminate are often deeply ingrained in patterns of behavior developed through many years of struggling to survive.THEY WILL NOT VANISH OVER NIGHT.
Be patient while God is reshaping us.We must be willing to allow God to work through us to change our lives.
DO WHAT is right while it still fells wrong. To form new habits.
Doing something right one time will not change a life time of not doing something right.
We victimize ourselves through self will– rarely calling on God for help.
HEALING REQUIRES GOD– NOT SELF WILL!
Romans 5:17 (AMP) 17 For if because of one man’s trespass (lapse, offense) death reigned through that one, much more surely will those who receive [God’s] overflowing grace (unmerited favor) and the free gift of righteousness [putting them into right standing with Himself] reign as kings in life through the one Man Jesus Christ (the Messiah, the Anointed One).
