Welcome to Westwind Ministries!

As we realize our limitations as humans we realize that the ability to change our behavior by our own efforts is impossible.  Only God can change people.  Therefore it is important to make a conscience daily decision to center your life around God.  Additionally, we need to  remove anything that supports or feeds evil desires and rely on the Holy Spirit's power to help us.

The following verse is critical to us, in it we find the main ingredient to successfully changing our lives.

The verse says: Proverbs 3:5-6 (AMP)

5 Lean on, trust in, and be confident in the Lord with all your heart and mind and do not rely on your own insight or understanding.

6 In all your ways know, recognize, and acknowledge Him, and He will direct and make straight and plain your paths.

Here is the break down of that verse to make it easier to apply to your life (you may want to print this off and keep it somewhere that is is visible to you daily).

Be confident and bold in the feeling of safety and security of relying on the Lord, with all, each, every, EVERYTHING, involving your entire personality, mind and inner nature.  Do NOT, (NO-NEGATIVE) prohibit yourself from relying on your own counsel or self-confidence, for support, comprehension, proper discernment of righteous action and wisdom.

But in each, every, all, everything, your whole entire walk along your path through life's journey, learn perceive, discern, consider and KNOW your God relationally and experientially  and HE will straighten and make smooth and pleasing the path that you walk throughout the course of your life's journey.

What a more simple and peaceful life?

It is amazing how living in obedience to God can change your life dramatically.  Peace is the essential key a successful Christian walk, because God's power is manifested through our peace.  No peace NO power.  Therefore, it is very important to remain peaceful.  To understand how peace works and to learn how we can experience it in our own lives we can look at how important peace was to our Savior.

As demonstrated below peace surrounded Jesus' earthly presence.

It was part of His birth announcement:

Luke 2:14 (AMP)
14
Glory to God in the highest [heaven], and on earth peace among men with whom He is well pleased [men of goodwill, of His favor].

Not surprisingly, He uses peace as His first words to His disciples after His resurrection:

John 20:19 (AMP)
19
Then on that same first day of the week, when it was evening, though the disciples were behind closed doors for fear of the Jews, Jesus came and stood among them and said, Peace to you!

And as part of His last conversation  He had with his disciples:

John 14:27 (AMP)
27 Peace I leave with you; My [own] peace I now give and bequeath to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Do not let your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid. [Stop allowing yourselves to be agitated and disturbed; and do not permit yourselves to be fearful and intimidated and cowardly and unsettled.]

Peace must be very valuable.  It is our inheritance from Him.  He bequeathed it to us.  But we have to go after it.  How? We conducted an in-depth study on this subject and found some amazing discoveries .  This page is a launch pad to those discoveries.  When put into practice, these simple steps will offer you the rich treasures of a life of peace that most certainly transcends all understanding.  God Bless and Enjoy.

Step Two: The path to peace starts with a study of the mind.  Therefore you must pay attention to your thoughts.  Start your peaceful journey with a study of the mind.  Click here

Step Three: In order to live peacefully you will have to watch your mouth because words are tools.  The Bible says "keep your tongue from evil & lips from speaking deceit" Psalm 34:13.  We have to make a choice, hurt people with our words or bring our lips in subjection to God, thus making them helpful to people that hear them.  We must not forget that words express what is in our hearts.  If we want to find out who a really person really is, then we have to listen to their words.  Remembering that our thoughts become our words we have to be sure to take the time to study of our thoughts.

Step Four:  Learning how to deal with spiritual battles is crucial.  We are at war daily, this is a serious war because we are in a fight for our lives, not our physical lives, but our spiritual lives,  The only way for us to survive this conflict is to prepare for a fight.  Click Here
Step Five- Stay Healthy.  Your health is imperative to your Christian walk, Click here for some great advice on healthy living
Obedience is the key to changing your life
Learn it, DO it, LIVE IT- Remember that:

"Impression without expression leads to depression"

WISDOM isn't wisdom without application.
Step One
Read, Pray and Obey:

Consider how important the word of God is to our lives.  We must know God through His word, we must spend time daily in the Word and in communicating with God through prayer.  Then comes the hard part, obedience.  We must obey and not be rebellious.  Look at what the Bible says about rebellion in 1Samuel 15:23

For rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft, and stubbornness is as idolatry.  We must be submissive to God's authority in our lives.

We must remember that God is not interested in part-time obedience.  We will use the example of David.  David was a man after God's own heart not because of his faith or because of his sinlessness but rather because God said that David would do everything God wanted him to do.  David loved the Word of God see Psalm 119:97.

The Word protects us from sin, it revives us from affliction and it gives us peace of mind.
